Citizens of the following countries shall not be required to obtain visas for entry to and stay in Georgia for a period of up to 90 days:
Armenia
Azerbaijan
Belarus
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Moldova
Tajikistan
Ukraine
Uzbekistan,
also
Member states of the European Union
USA
Canada
Japan
Swiss
Lichtenstein
Norway
Israel
Vatican(Holy See).

Ordinary visas shall be issued for a period of stay in Georgia for up to 90 days to:
a) Foreigners arriving in Georgia for carrying out investment and business activity, representatives and consultants of firms and companies traveling to Georgia for discharging their official duties;
b) Foreigners arriving in Georgia for liquidating emergency situations;
c) Foreigners arriving in Georgia for participating in scientific seminars, conferences and other types of scientific-research and educational arrangements;
d) Representatives of mass media sources arriving in Georgia for discharging their official duties;
e) Foreigners arriving in Georgia on a religious mission or for working at religious organizations on the territory of Georgia;
f) Foreigners arriving in Georgia for providing humanitarian assistance or carrying out charitable activity;
g) Foreign members of art associations and sports teams or organizations arriving in Georgia for taking part in cultural or sports events;
h) Foreigners arriving in Georgia as tourists;
i) Foreigners arriving in Georgia for private affairs, medical treatment, for visiting the graves of their deceased relatives, as well as to foreigners born and raised in Georgia who travel to pay a visit to Georgia;
j) Foreigners carrying out cargo carriages in Georgia;
k) Self-employed persons;
l) Persons passing in transit through the territory of Georgia;
m) Other people whose stay on the territory of Georgia does not exceed 90 days.
Ordinary visa shall be issued for an indefinite period of validity which should not exceed 1 year.
Ordinary visa in case it is issued for 6 months envisages a 90-day period of stay in Georgia, and in case it is issued for 1 year – 180-day period of stay in Georgia. Besides, on each entry, period of continuous stay should not exceed 90 days.
For persons entering Georgia for transit a period of stay in Georgia on each entry should not exceed 72 hours.
